Anjaana Anjaani Film Music Review
For many directors in Bollywood the film's music just might be a drop in the bucket, but it is different for Director Siddharth Anand. Siddharth has always given impetus to his film's music. Be it, Ta Ra Rum Pum, Salaam Namaste or Bachhna Ae Haseeno. He has his job cut out for as he doesn't have to ponder about his film's music, because he has left the job to his ace pick music duo Vishal Shekhar. We now know that Vishal-Shekhar has composed the music for all his previous three movies and today Anjaana Anjaani will roar towards the beats of Vishal-Shekhar. Well, Anjaana Anjaani film's music is real deal. It's club tracks to groove to, peppy music to croon to, poignant songs that will soothe your soul and much more. Anjaana Anjaani the film has 7 original tracks and a pair of remixes.
The album kick begins with Anjaana Anjaani Ki Kahani song. Monali Thakur and debutante singer Nikhil D'souza combined efforts to croon this club track full of zest, beats, bop, and much more. The song is akin to Ranbir Kapoor's Main Tera Dhadkan song from Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. The song gives you a doze from the 80's retro music with classic R.D. Burman beats into it. Second to visit is Hairat sung by Lucky Ali. After Bachhna Ae Haseeno, Lucky Ali has been cut back towards the action as it is thought that his voice suits Ranbir Kapoor probably the most. So, after a hiatus Lucki Ali has returned with Hairat which will take your breath away. It is a typical Lucky Ali track which will make you bewildered. Surely there is no charm lost when it comes to Lucky Ali.
Aas Pass Khuda is crooned through the great Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. It is a comforting track which matches gentle throughout. Tumse Hi Tumse is crooned by Shekhar Ravjiani and Caralisa Monteiro which is a good track but comparatively not amongst the best in the album. Tujhe Bhula Diya song in Anjaana Anjaani is arguably the very best song from the album. Sung by Mohit Chauhan, this one is really a feat to the ears. Shekhar Rajvani and Shruthi Pathak have also contributed to the song. This can be a stupendous song with some awe-inspiring lyrics and when someone like Mohit Chauhan croons it, it only gets better. This one is sure to stir the emotion in your soul. In the sultry voice of Shilpa Rao and rock solid voice of Vishal Dadlani Personally i think Good song sticks towards the quixotic romantic thesis from the album. This track is melodious towards the core and also the flow of the song goes deep and passionate as the songs progresses. This is an archetypal audio-video song i.e. it will leave an effect when the audience see it around the big screen. And last but not minimal may be the title track Anjaana Anjaani, that is again crooned by Vishal Dadlani and Shilpa Rao.
Perhaps this is actually the most acute song within the album. This is sure to leave a mark in your thoughts for a long very long time because this song gets better through the moment and Vishal's singing skills just got way better within this song and Shilpa Rao's sultry voice can't have any better than this On an whole this track just might jerk a tear out of your eye. Apart from these the album has 2 remixes i.e. Tujhe Bhula Diya - Remix sung by Mohit Chauhan, Shekhar Ravjiani, Shruti Pathak and Aas Paas Khuda - Unplugged crooned by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Shruti Pathak. These two songs are just made to provide the song a different look, diverse version of the original track. By and large Anjaana Anjaani music adds romantics for this anecdote. This is the idyllic music for any love story also it can't get better. Like the movie's title, there aint anything strange about Vishal Shekhar's music in Anjaana Anjaani.
A Movie Review on “August Rush”
August Rush is definitely an American film directed by Kirsten Sheriden. It had been released on 21st November 2007. The film is about relationships and love. It is about a couple who fell for each other the very first time they met and investigated each other's eyes. Lyla Novachek, a and delightful cellist along with a rock musician named Louis meet in a party organized by their friends. Attempting to escape from the noisy and crowded place, Lyla goes to the rooftop to pay off her mind. Louis who was a slave to notices Lyla's presence. Miracles happen when they fall madly in love at first sight. They spend the night time in each other's arms and promise to satisfy again.
Unfortunately, the night time they spent together may be the first and last time that they'll ever see each other. Lyla's father sets them apart by bringing Lyla back to London. Louis is very determined to meet his true love & tries to find her but all he meets is failure. They finally get separated and lead their own lives without knowing that their separation leads to a challenging journey of the new life. Lyla's father who later learns about her pregnancy, tells her that her baby is dead after she meets any sort of accident. However, the child survives and grows up in an orphanage home. Lyla who's terribly devastated through the news gives up her interest in music and lives a dull live next. However, her father tells her the reality 11 years after that.
Lyla's son whose name is Evan Taylor always has instinct that his parents are still alive. He is just 11-year-old as he imagines communicating with them through his gift for music. One day, he escapes from the orphanage the place to find find his parents with the help of a kind orphanage officer in New York. Meanwhile, Lyla who knows that her son is still alive would go to New York to locate him. Louis also comes to New York to locate Lyla. Unfortunately, Evan Taylor loses contact with the officer and bumps into Wizard (Robbie Willam),a guy who exploits and manipulates children's talents to obtain profit. Then he calls Evan Taylor through the name August Rush. Situation turns chaotic when the police attacks Wizard's hiding place. Nevertheless, Evan Taylor seems to escape and go to the nearby church. There, the church people find out about his talent and finally send him to Julliard, the most renowned music academy. He is then trained and given an honor to conduct their own music concert entitled the New York Philharmonic. Lyla who happens to perform at the same concert and Louis who also attends the concert finally meet their son.

Evan Taylor (Freddie Highmore) is definitely an 11-year-old boy that has spent his entire life in an orphanage. Although he never knew his mother and father, he believes he has a cosmic link with them through music. He runs away to New York City, hoping the music he hears in his head can help him find his parents. There he discovers that he is a musical prodigy and dons a new, more appropriate stage name: August Rush. Meanwhile, his parents do some searching of their own. His mother, a gifted cellist, Lyla Novacek (Keri Russell), just discovered that after 11 years, the kid she thought had died had been given up for adoption by her controlling father. She makes her method to New York to go to Child Protective Services in order to find her son. Evan's father, Louis (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), a rock-n-roll singer, doesn't know that Lyla got pregnant. All they know is the fact that he fell deeply in love with his one-night-stand, and although she promised to satisfy him in the morning, he never saw her again. Heartbroken, he spent the following 11 years attempting to move ahead; however in the finish, he finds his method to New York because he too, follows the music.
August Rush is certainly not a lot more than schmaltzy, overly dramatic, romanticist drivel by having an incredibly unrealistic plot. While in New York, August often wanders around alone (sometimes walking right out into traffic), stopping from time to time to shut his eyes so he can "listen" to the music throughout him: car honks, basketball dribbles, traffic noise, footsteps, etc. It's not really music, just sounds he perceives as music. It's this "music" that supernaturally (and laughingly) leads him to his unite together with his parents. Not only this. Within the city, August bounces around from an abandoned theater where a large number of homeless, musical children live underneath the guardianship of Wizard (Robin Williams) to an old, gospel church where he learns to compose music and take part in the organ during the length of one day to enrolling in Julliard and writing their own rhapsody--all in a fashion similar to Oliver Twist...a really sappy rendition of the timeless classic.
The cinematography is distracting, and I had the ability to feel my I.Q. dropping with every passing minute. The characters are stereotypical, as well as their development is non-existent. The entire cast disappointed me--even Robin Williams, although I am inclined to believe it wasn't quite his fault because of the terrible script. The line is trite and predictable; Keri Russell has strange, jerky movements and expressions which brought to mind a timid bird, although 11 years pass, Lyla and Louis haven't aged a little.
PROS
The best part from the film is when any of the characters get a musical instrument and play--especially August, that has a very cool, original type of slap-strumming. You are able to almost explore watching him play if you don't look too closely at the fingers around the close-up shots. They are not the fingers of an 11-year-old, though I'll provide the filmmakers a little bit of leeway in that area.
It is a relatively clean film with most of the inappropriate parts left to the audience's imagination off screen.
Other than that, I suppose the only real other positive note is the constant persistence of Lyla to find her son. It's a touching element--a mother just finding out her son is alive and searching frantically for him--despite the shallow plot.
CONS
Some parents may be offended by the way this film glorifies Lyla and Louis' one-night-stand. Lyla even refers to it as "the most wonderful night of her life." I find it hard to believe the most wonderful nights her life was sleeping with a complete stranger on a dirty, old couch on a rooftop in New York. But in either case, Lyla and Louis aren't excellent role models for the kids, nor will they ever redeem themselves or apologize for their irresponsibility.
Additional regions of note are: a brief peek at a few making out in a hallway; the use of mild curse words; the fact that Evan/August runs away from the orphanage and opens himself up to and including realm of danger; and the dark, unsettling character of Wizard, including one scene that may frighten young kids.
OVERALL
I must be honest--I absolutely loathed this film. In fact, as you're watching it, I distinctly heard a faint screeching in the back of my thoughts...like fingernails on a chalk board. Oh wait, maybe that was just "the music."
